Manufacturing
of Stainless Steel welded
tubes and pipes commences with
the formation of welded mother
tubes / pipes on continuous tube
mill from prime prime quality
stainless steel strips, using
the latest TIG welding
technique for superior weld quality
and 100% fusion. Argon purging
is used to prevent any contamination
of the welded area of the tube.
These tubes are then annealed
at 1050 degree Celsius - 1100
degree Celsius in continuous
annealing furnace followed by
immediate water quenching to prevent
chromium carbide precipitation.
Then these tubes are straightened
in straightening machine. Finally
these tubes are pickled in a picking
solutions made of Nitric Acid
and Hydrofloric Acid. This
removes the scales formed during
annealing . These tubes are checked
by quality control people for
checking all the parameters.
